First Mode Prinicipal Systems Engineer Selected to Present at 2019 CleanTech Innovation Showcase in Seattle

Twenty-four leading cleantech companies and organizations will present the latest industry initiatives and innovations at the CleanTech Innovation Showcase on June 24 in Seattle. Companies, research institutions and partnerships from across U.S., Canada and beyond submitted applications for one of 24 presenting spots. An independent panel of CleanTech Alliance members reviewed these applications and selected 24 companies and organizations to showcase their latest clean technology innovations, initiatives and ideas in front of the event’s more than 400 attendees spanning industry, investors, policymakers and media.

Josh Sweere, Principal Systems Engineer, will present a concept for reducing emissions on Washington State Ferries. Washington State Ferries has emission reduction mandates, but real challenges are presented by the practical limitations of a purely battery solution.

First Mode has studied the viability of zero-emissions technologies on large platforms. This presentation will share how a fuel cell-based system would impact an agency like Washington State Ferries as it seeks to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions.
