Today First Mode launches our new website at FirstMode.com.

We build the barely possible to solve the barely solvable. Which admittedly, can be a difficult story to tell.

So we created an evolved visual brand identity to better express ourselves, and then built a new website that showcases our talented people, describes what we do, and helps visitors find their way to engaging and hopefully inspiring content. We are excited to share a new digital destination that reflects the ambition, boldness, and trailblazing track record of our world-class team.

First Mode helps companies, governments, and individuals tackle the problems that matter in the most extreme environments no matter what—or where—they might be. Our work crosses boundaries, spanning industries including the space, natural resources, automotive, and high-tech sectors. Our team is made up of planetary scientists and software developers, business analyzers and project managers, robotics builders and electrical engineers.

Among the stakeholder feedback collected prior to the redesign kickoff was one sentence that succinctly summarized a widely echoed team goal for the project:

“I want someone to come to our website and understand what we do, no matter who they are.”

We believe the new website helps explain First Mode’s role as a creative engineering company, and explain what is First Mode through our first company video. The new site also features fresh photography, an original font from Berthold, and a revamped color palette with direct ties to First Mode’s ties to terrestrial, aeronautical, and space work.

The First Mode team is excited about the website’s role in sharing our story and original content with First Mode clients, employees, job applicants and more. Let us know what you think!
